Why Nakambale Museum and Rest Camp?

• Camping site next to homestead.

Nearby attractions include:
• Lake Opunono (1-2 hrs 4x4 required).
• Etosha National Park (2-3 hrs ).
• Regional centres of Ondangwa & Oshikati  (open markets) (15 – 45 mins).
• Ombuga grass plains (40 mins).
• Various Owambo historical monuments.

13 km southwest of Ondangwa

How to get there?

Approaching from the south on the tarred road from Tsumeb (B 1), you continue towards Oshakati; a signpost 8 km outside Ondangwa directs you to turn left onto the gravel road D 3629. After about 5 km you will see Olukonda to your left. Look for the old church. Nakambale Museum and Campsite are situated about 500 m from the junction. The road is suitable for any type of passenger vehicle.
