Location

On the banks of the Kunene River, 37 km west of the village of Ruacana, on the road from Etosha National Park to Epupa Falls and Opuwo.

How to get there?

From Oshakati: Take the C 46 main road to Ruacana. From the turn-off to the village of Ruacana it is about 17 km to the falls. Once you have passed the junction to the Ruacana border post, you drive on for another 4 km. Hippo Pool Campsite is on your right, just 200 m behind the hydroelectric power station, where the DR 3700 forks off from the C 46.
From Epupa: Take the DR 3700 gravel road to Ruacana. The campsite is located at the junction of the DR 3700 and the C 46 tarred road.
