NACOBTA is a non-profit organization which depends on sponsors and donations to execute its activities.  It receives funds from donor agencies as well as corporate entities and uses such funds to assist mostly rural communities.

Past donations and sponsors have assisted the NACOBTA Trust to establish tourist facilities (e.g. campsites, information centers, rest camps, etc), to train local people to manage such facilities and to market their businesses.  These ventures belong to the target communities or individual (black) Namibians and can be found in all parts of the country.  All the businesses listed on this website under enterprises have been assisted by NACOBTA in one way or the other, be it through infrastructure development, training, marketing or all three.  This benefits the communities through the creation of employment, empowerment through training and income from the business which is used to solve poverty related problems in the respective areas.
